World TB Day

The World TB Day is on March 24th each year to raises awareness about the global epidemic of tuberculosis (TB) and efforts to eliminate the disease. Also the world TB day is designed to build public awareness that tuberculosis today remains an epidemic in much of the world, causing the deaths of several million people each year, mostly in developing countries.
This year the world is celebrating the World TB day 2012 under the theme “Stop TB in my life time”
The Epi-Lab celebration campaign started on Saturday 24 March by launching the First Epi-Lab TB club at the Nile Street

Research Internships
Program Description: The Epidemiological laboratory is pleased to offer five (5) research internships to college graduate students interested in research-related careers. The positions offer the chance for selected interns to work in a fast-paced academic environment in which they will apply theoretical frameworks and participate in conducting public health related research.
Position Description: Interns will have the opportunity to play a transformative role in the organization. We are seeking highly motivated self-starters to join our team in the Research Unit. The ideal candidate possesses the dedication, team morale and spirit of inquiry to have a meaningful impact.
Graduates who have an interest in research, development and public health are encouraged to apply.
